Foto Friday- Blue
This week's theme for Foto Friday was Blue. One of the first flowers of the season in our yard was a bluish purple and so I thought it fitting to use it (and it worked so perfectly next to my jeans. I am proud of this shot, everything is so clear and detailed~ The second isn't fully blue, but I love my white and blue teacups and they have become my displays for the flowers Samuel picks for me on a daily basis. Flowers are slim pickings still, but forsythia blooms look so pretty in my makeshift vase for flowers with no stems :) I was really blue one day, and ironically enough I thought of this Foto Friday so I grabbed two shots of myself. The first I tinted blue to artistically portray how I felt...The second I decided to keep color so you could see the red rimmed eyes..Not a beautiful shot of me, but pertinant to what I was feeling at the time. Please join my sister Renaissance for Foto Friday either to look at other perspectives, or participate.

I really like the teacup photo. Maybe it is because of the angle and composition of it...anyway it is lovely.
ReplyDeleteWow...your self portraits are really good too. I am sorry you were having a blue day, but you captured the emotion exceptionally.
I was hoping someone would take the abstract "feeling of being blue" but I wasn't hoping it would be GENUINE. Sorry for the bummer week you have had. Hoping for a fresh start and joy-filled new one.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite of all was the tinted blue one. It captured the essence of blue best but you are right, the top on is perfectly crisp! You have been doing really well with crisp shots lately!
PS. Sorry about not getting the newest challenge up. Totally forgot. My brain went on vakay. It is YELLOW, inspired by all the forsythia around! ;-)
I think I have that tea cup, or at least a close relative of it...
ReplyDeleteYeah, the blue feeling was perfectly conveyed, though I'm sorry you had to go through it!
The yellow flowers in the blue floral teacup is exquisite. I love the composition of the photo and the touch of yellow really compliments the blue. Great photo!
ReplyDeleteThe blue-tinted self portrait was very poignant. Sorry things weren't going well.
ReplyDeleteI, also, love the tea cup shot. There's just something about a blue, yellow, and white color combination, isn't there?
I like the teacup picture, too.
ReplyDeleteOh, that china cup!!! Excellent!!
ReplyDeleteLove the tea cup picture!
ReplyDeleteThe teacup is very pretty, but I like your all blue shot.
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry you were feelin blue but I dearly love the blue picture of you! It is so poignant!
ReplyDeleteI have that same tea cup. I didn't even think of that!
ReplyDeleteI really like the tea cup picture.
